What is the purpose of that library?

i'm regular mc user, that's why the new mclib useflag made me curious. Info about it is nowhere to be found... very cryptic

Hello,
have you found a answer for this question?
I will unzip a 59 mb File. Now the mc needs about 1,5 hours on a core i7 with 32 gb RAM. |

Other applications, possible "plugins" could link against the library (or dlopen it)
So it's a midnight commander lib, but not only for midnight commander itself |
