problem solved by downgrade nvidia driver to 285.05.09
I recently updated my system. After that, I found programs using Ogre engine are only showing black screen after start (including the official demos and some app made by myself). I also tried a small program using openGL. It also won't work and claims that shaders are not compiled correctly.
I've eselected on nvidia's openGL. I've tried re-emerge the nvidia drivers and restart my computer, but it don't help.
Although a new kernel was installed, I did not change my kernel. I'm still using 2.6.39-gentoo-r3.
My driver version is 290.06. Does it has any known issues?
Thanks for a lot! |

First of all, you need to run the problematic programs from the terminal, and post the output here, along with....
That should hopefully get the ball rolling and we can then help you.
I have a similar problem, as in gnome-shell refuses point black to utilise 3D rendering, although I can play 3D rendering games etc etc.
I am asking questions everywhere, and getting no help, because no-one seems to have the same problem, therefore, can't reproduce the bug. _________________ Whatever you do, do it properly! |
