ATI releases official Radeon 8500/8500LE drivers

The name of the file is still fglr200-glc22-4.2.0-1.4.3.i586.rpm, so it seems that these are just the old FireGL drivers?

Has anyone tried these? Any luck in getting them to work on a Powered By ATI card?

This thread in the hardware forum should probably handle this hardware related question. I'm also very interested to know if anyone has gotten this to work. It's a big step in getting better drivers for ATI cards.
