Hi,

just run through updating my world and all the KDE stuff, but now a lot of the KDE programs are broken. (Was all working OK with 4.7.2)

kopete: tray function does no longer work, sending it to tray with the x close button just closes it, minimizing sends it to the task bar, not to the tray

kmail: needs several seconds to start now. When checking for mails, it always request a confirmation for the mail passwords, even they are all stored correctly. After that a bunch of certification questions popping up. I told it to accept them forever, but it always repeat the questions after restarting kmail. Also after answering all the thing, it tooks some minutes to receive the mail and after receiving, the hole kmail window just freezes for about a minute before I can finally read my mails.

kwalletmanager simply doesn't start

Hi Desti²,
I upgraded yesterday,no problem.
I don't have kwallet though.

Probably superfluous question but did you run revdep-rebuild?
Gerard.

Yes, run it after I found the problems, it recompiles some broken packages, but they were all non KDE related.

*Edit*

Just tested the thing with xfce4 as desktop, I found a missing MYSQL support in Akanodi and fixed it, all K-apps are now working well under xfce4, but with the KDE desktop, it's still broken, will recheck all the USE flags for it.

How to fix this error from akonadi?

Code:
111105  6:52:41  InnoDB: Initializing buffer pool, size = 80.0M
111105  6:52:41  InnoDB: Completed initialization of buffer pool

111105  6:52:41 [Warning] Can't open and lock time zone table: Table 'mysql.time_zone_leap_second' doesn't exist trying to live without them
111105  6:52:41 [ERROR] Can't open and lock privilege tables: Table 'mysql.servers' doesn't exist
111105  6:52:41 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: ready for connections.

(*edit* first thing was wrong)

Found another error, which might be a reason!?

I can't start kcmshell4 kcmkded
When I'm going in the menu to startup and shutdown -> Service Manager it freezes for like a minute and then I got the message Unable to contact KDED.

kded4 says:

kded4
KDE Daemon (kded) already running.

EDIT

Finally I didn't find the exact reason, but removing the complete KDE configs and starting with a fresh new session solved it.
