I inherited two sparcstation 2's for free, however it seems that in the one with ram (..ugh..) the nvram chip is toast and/or the battery is dead. On startup it gives no vid signal (GX ffb), and gives solid scroll-lock keyboard LED error code, which IIRC is nvram issues ... since the damn thing was built in 1991, im guessing the internal battery in the nvram is dead.
What can be done about this?
My experience with sun thus-far has all been with ultras, so I cant say I really know where to get old skool spares .. :-/

| First off, try stop-n at boot or the jumper to reset the nvram. If that doesn't work, check eBay for cheap replacements... |
