if I use frame buffer I loose 3d in X. any1 knows how to let them work toghether?

Option "UseInternalAGPGART" "no"

and force kernel agpgart module to load putting your chipset module in /etc/modules.autoload/kernel-2.4/6 (according to what you are using)
