Hi there,
I just popped the Gentoo 1.2 cdrom into my pc, rebooted, and it gets stuck at:
Partition check:
/dev/ide/host0/target0/lun0:
The keyboard still responds, but nothing happens when I hit enter.. or after reformatting my harddrive / installing redhat / installing windows xp.. it's a 10gb IDE Hd. Any ideas?
Thanks,
P |

Check in your bios and see if your bios can address the whole drive and also see if you can turn LBA on or even off. I had a couple problems booting from the hard drive because of this. Also some bios has a section for what os you will be using my says dos and other. I know using the other option with windows 2000 screws it up. |
