|
|
Since tmux-1.5, it is no longer possible to copy to use the X mouse to copy/paste.
Yes, I know that there is now a new "feature" such that mouse dragging puts the selection into the tmux buffer - this is the case.
The problem is that even if I unselect this feature with Code: | set-window-option -g mode-mouse off | I just have no mouse support, that is copy/paste still does not work.
I tried also keeping the feature on, setting Code: | set-option -g set-clipboard on | (configuring xterm with "disallowedWindowOps: 20,21,SetXprop" as described in the tmux manpage) but neither is any selection put into the clipboard nor is the middle mouse button pasting something. I also tried various combinations with mouse-utf8 and the other mouse-* variables in tmux, so far without any success.
Is anybody able to use the "usual" X cut/paste with the mouse in tmux (+xterm or another terminal emulator under X)?

Answering my own question: It seems to work with /etc/tmux.conf wrote: | set-option -g mouse-select-pane off
set-option -g mouse-resize-pane off
set-option -g mouse-select-window off
set-window-option -g mode-mouse off |
(I thought that I had tried this, but perhaps forgot one or perhaps forgot to restart the tmux server.)
Moreover, mouse-select-pane worked nicely with tmux-1.4 without preventing copy/paste... |
