|
|
I am using 2.6, and such. The problem being that I am not getting any dri. I cannot use the ati-drivers because they do not support radeon 7500. The xfree-drm package says that it needs linux kernel instead of linux-beta kernels, so that is out as well. When I have dri compiled into the kernel with radeon support, I still don't get anything. I have X configured to load glx, dri, as well as the proper drivers.
My XF86Free.0.log shows all things working until it just says: Direct Rendering Disabled.
Any suggestions or anyone with similar experiences? |

Ok, recompiled with DRI unselected in the 2.6.0-test10 kernel. Now I don't even have a /dev/dri/0, and my Xlog says that it cannot find that card, so we must need at least the dri portion of the 2.6.0 kernel selected. I don't know about the radeon driver. I am recompiling now. I will continue this as I discover more. |

are they compiled as modules?
also compile agpgart and your mobo's agp controller as modules (right above the xfree-dri stuff in the kernel config) _________________ Help me! |
