hi, for cdrecord to detect (cdrecord -scanbus) my cd-writer i have to create /dev/sg0 up to /dev/sg3 (i dont actually use all of them).
to be able to mount the drives i'd create /dev/scd0 up to /dev/scd3. this is what i always do in lfs (linuxfromscratch.org), but now i want to do it the devfs way. so my question is how do i configure devfs to automagically create the above mentioned entries in /dev.
also i cant mount /dev/cdrom, mount says its not a valid block device. when i checked it out (the file cdrom points to) its a character defile. whats going on?
please help thank you. _________________ /*!

Edit /etc/devfsd.conf. There are examples with explanations that you can customize and uncomment. |
