Skype / Chinese font

Hi,

I use Skype (1.1.0.3) and it has trouble to display chinese characters. Some of them seem to be missing and are displayed as squares and some are right. Then i have to copy paste them in another application (firefox/gedit/..) to see them proprerly.

I think Skype uses QT, so this might be related to QT .. but i am not sure.

Anyone here using Skype with chinese fonts ?

PS : I use zh_CN.UTF-8 locale

I had the same problem. Here's what I did:

Control Panel / Date, Time, Language , Regional Options / Regional & Language Options / Advanced tab / (You'll see Code Page Conversion Tables):

Check All of following:

CNS-Taiwan
TCA- Taiwan
Eten-Taiwan
IBM55500-Taiwan
TeleText-Taiwan
Wang-Taiwan

Click Apply/ OK . It'll restart computer, then you log on to Skype. This should fix the problem.
