Hi,
I would like to change over to GCC 3.1, but I have a problem. The only non-free software I use is mapleV. My question is, is there a way to check whether or not it will run on a system compiled with GCC 3.1, using a system which was compiled with GCC 2.95.3. I know that GCC 2.95.3 and GCC 3.1 produce incompatible binairy files.

| The incompatible binary files only affect C++ programs. C Libraries are compatible between gcc 2.95 and gcc 3.1. |
