|
|
Hello,
I tried to isntall smokinguns from maggu2810-overlay, using layman.
Everything runs smooth, until the fatal moment of emerging "smokinguns-svn", where I have this strange message :
| Quote: | # emerge -pvt games-fps/smokinguns-svn
These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "games-fps/smokinguns-svn" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- games-fps/smokinguns-svn-1.1_beta4 (masked by: missing keyword)
- games-fps/smokinguns-svn-1.1_alpha442 (masked by: missing keyword)
For more information, see the MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge
man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook.
|
The deal is that I already keyworded the package "games-fps/smokinguns" in /etc/portage/package.keywords with ~amd64, with no more luck, as seen below :
| Quote: |
localhost luc # cat /etc/portage/package.keywords
=games-fps/smokinguns-svn-1.1_beta4 ~amd64
games-fps/smokinguns-data ~amd64
|
I also tried to unmask it, with no more success.
Note that for "data" package, there is another problem when trying to emerge it, but it should be pulled in by the "smokinguns-svn" package :
| Quote: | localhost luc # emerge -pvt smokinguns-data
These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N F ] games-fps/smokinguns-data-1.1_beta3 392,096 kB [1]
Total: 1 package (1 new), Size of downloads: 392,096 kB
Fetch Restriction: 1 package (1 unsatisfied)
Portage tree and overlays:
[0] /usr/portage
[1] /var/lib/layman/maggu2810-overlay
|
Note that the package doesn't exists in the official tree, so I don't really understand why he sees it in two differents locations.
I'm confident in that, when pulled in by "smokinguns-svn", emerge will get the right location to emerge the game.
The problem is : "what the hell is this keyword missing problem".
I'm thinking about a bug in the package, where the keyword would be completely missing (no "amd64" or "~amd64"), but a bug like that would have been already warned by someone else just before I fall into it.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help given. |

If the problem still exists, I can have a look at it.
I will have a look at that ebuilds next week. _________________ --- sorry for the bad english --- |

Use as content for (e.g.) /etc/portage/package.keywords/smokinguns
| Code: | | games-fps/smokinguns-svn ** |
Live ebuilds should not contain any keywords (someone explained me that for a while on bugs.gentoo.org).
Because that ebuilds are using svn, i set 'KEYWORDS=""'

| Quote: | In addition to the normal values from ACCEPT_KEYWORDS package.keywords supports three special tokens:
* package is visible if it is stable on any architecture
~* package is visible if it is in testing on any architecture
** package is always visible (KEYWORDS are ignored completely) |
