NumLock turns off on each window change

Some time ago NumLock was always on till I turn it off.

Now the problem is that when I change the currently opened window (e.g. with Alt-Tab), NumLock turns off regardless its previous state.
I tried configuring GConf settings but no changes. Do you have any ideas why this happens? I guess the problem is with X. I also don't want to use numlockx as long as it worked before.
