Interessant .. ich werde mal meine PayPal-Daten rauskramen und auch mal 'ne kleine Spende klarmachen. Ich bin froh, dass das mit LibreOffice so schnell und gut geklappt hat und das es frei bleibt.

Hallo alle, manche wissen vielleicht schon, dass sich die OOo community eine neue rechtliche Form zu geben versucht. Gedacht ist an eine Stiftung nach deutschem Recht, d.h. mit Sitz in Deutschland. Lest euch mal durch, worums geht:

Wär’s da nicht schön, wenn da jeder ein paar Euro spenden würde. Bloß 5 Euro mal 1000 User, macht schon 5000, und das Ziel der DocumentFoundation, die Stiftungsgründung in D, rückt näher.

Das soll heißen, wenn ihr spendet, macht eine Banküberweisung (von Österreich und der Schweiz(?) ’ne EU-Standardüberweisung) und verwendet nicht Paypal. Paypal zockt vielmehr ab als bei einer normalen Banküberweisung an Spesen anfällt.

PS: ich hab’ weder mit Libreoffice noch mit OOo Deutschland e.V. was zu tun.

PS 2: libreoffice-bin-3.3.0-r1 ist schon im portage tree

Meine Kreditkarte ist bei Paypal sowieso gebannt, seit ich mein Konto geschlossen hatte und politische Gruende angab.

LibreOffice läuft hier schon, ob ich da etwas spende, muss ich mir nochmal überlegen.

In just eight days, some 2,000 donors from all over the world contributed €50,000 for the capital stock necessary to set-up the legal entity in Germany.

Somit sind wir am Ende! Alles was jetzt noch an Spenden ankommt, wird für andere Baustellen (z.B. Server) verwendet.

Ich möchte nicht als Troll aufgefasst werden, aber in der DocumentFoundation finden sich doch etliche Großunternehmen.
Wieso zahlen die nicht für das Foundraising der Stiftung?
