|
|
I've successfully got Gentoo ppc64 on my aging Apple G5. With stable udev-151-r4, I had issues with udev complaining of with inotify support not existing and udev guaranteed to always fail.
Searching around, I masked >=udev-147 and with udev-146-r1, I didn't get the issue.
Proceeding to install other packages, I am having issues with sys-fs/lvm2, x11-base/xorg-server and sys-fs/cryptsetup. They are all requiring udev-150 or greater. Randomly picking higher versions, still give me the above error.
Any work arounds? |

Reinstalling glibc seemed to straighten out wrinkles for me. Switching back to udev-151-r4 didn't give me the inotify issues from before. |
