Folks -- please don't make posts unnecessarily long or otherwise mess around with phpBB formatting stuff. (such as infinite nested quotes, etc.) If that were to start happening on a regular basis, I would have to lock this thread.

Stop messing around with your phpBB stuff... |

Yep....don't know what to say. The longest thread I think is the "How does your Gentoo desktop look like?" thread. We have a long way on beating that. |

Instead of posting just a smiley face or, 'It's thursday', try having a discussion about something. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

And now it has half a chance now that the "what's your desktop" thread is locked. _________________ They don't have a good bathroom to do coke in. |

well i think your sentence will affect the length of this thread a little bit but it remains to see how much though... =)
your one line is only 1% if there will be 100 lines and 0.001 % if there will be 100 000 lines... and so on _________________ // d4h0od |

length = number of posts
length != number of lines/words

Actually, the only reason I ever post in any forum is just plug my floppy install guide. Plug plug plug...
Plug plug...
Plug...

It's good dude.
Did you have to use that?
Or were you really bored that day?
I didn't understand the reason to lock a thread. What are the criteria for that?

I was me, just wasn't log in... how will it add to my count then |

My ginormous ego assumes you're responding to my post. If not, well too bad, I'm going to pretend you were.
Yesiree, I had to use that. My first Gentoo install was on a P133 with 64 megs of ram that couldn't boot off CDs. I wrote the HOWTO at that time. I searched the forums, but the answers to that question were typically "Just use tomsrtbt and chroot the tarball", which actually involves a series of non-obvious steps that were never explained. That really irked me, so I vowed to make it easier on all who follow me if I ever got through the install sucessfully. I used a friend who was installing on a system with only SCSI cdrom drives, that couldn't boot off of a CD, as a guinea pig for the test, then more recently did another P100 with 64 megs of ram. Actually, if you count my experiments with varying versions of gcc3 at home as just one install, I've done more floppy installs than CD installs. _________________ "An empty head is not really empty; it is stuffed with rubbish.
