What file can I cat to show me what the kernel spits out when it uncompresses upon booting? Specifically, I want to know what speed my SCSI drives are seen with, so I know if they are running at full speed or not. I can barely see the Adaptec driver go by, so I have no idea of they are at full speed or not.

Is the output of the "dmesg" command what you are looking for?
