The second paragraph (NAT) sounds like you don't have the right networking driver compiled. Follow the kernel installation section of the install guide and make sure that the driver VMware requires (I don't remember off the top of my head) is compiled into the kernel (so it has a <*> to it).
Then, just mount /boot, copy your new kernel into it and there you go. _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |
