what gcc flags are best for a dual p3 system?
Im looking to reinstall my entire system, but I cant until I figure out what flags to use.
I want stablity and speed!
thanks!
I read the "endless Autobot CFLAGS thread."
that thread didnt have any useful info for a dual p3 machine.. |

Please post your question in that thread. That way everyone in the future looking for "what CFLAGS should I use" will have an easy time using the forum search feature. If the search results get cluttered with hundreds of little separate CFLAGS threads, then it becomes harder for people to find the information they are looking for.
Besides, there are no magic answers for "which compiler optimizations should I use?", even for specific hardware. Once you get past the basic -O2 or -O3, everything involves tradeoffs, and different types of code may perform better with different flags. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
