But not the Google Geek because the Douglas Adams booktitle spells it two words, capitalized.

I'm semi-reading four books right now:
Using Samba
Apache: The Definitive Guide
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie
I say semi-reading because in the last few weeks before your first baby is born, you do little more than go to the hospital, stock up on sleep, and worry!

Hey good luck on the baby delivery.
My reading list right now:
Viper: Coils of the Serpent (Game Supplement for Hero Games)
Drugs may be your Problem (A tirade against anti-depresents)
Finished Harry Turtledove's latest (Loyal Opposition) a couple weeks ago.
And I've got a stack of books on my nightstand that are either political, Neil Gaiman, historical, or sci-fi. A couple more game supplements in there as well. I tend to go through books two or three per week. _________________ -mark |

Same as Xiol
The Great Hunt (Wheel of Time, Book 2), by Robert Jordan.
Soon done, I'll probably go for book 3 after it. I read enough other books since I'm a university student

Redemption Ark By Alastair Reynolds, but I have been too busy in the last two months, so I'm kind of stuck in the middle of it. It is a good book, and I'm afraid that I'll have trouble getting any real work done if I start reading it again. _________________ "Do you hear that sound your Highness?"

Im actually working on a couple books myself here at work as i have a lot of down time.
The Sword and The Shield: The Mitrokhin Archive and the Secret History of the KGB. It is an awesome book documenting all of the KGB's doings during the entire Soviet era, files that were very classified but were smuggled out by a KGB officer by the name of Mitrokhin.
Linux Complete, Second Edition: More so as a reference guide, very very handy if you are a newB like me.
Red Hat 9 Bible: I bought it out of curiosity. I am not going to install Red Hat, but a lot of the information in this book can be used in a gentoo environment when applied correctly so i figured why not.
Hacking Linux Exposed: Do i really have to explain?
GNU C++ by Tom Swan: Excellent book if you are considering getting into GNU C++ programming. I think it is one of the best programming books i have read to date!
Exam Cram Books, CCNA, CNA, I-Net+, CISSP, SMS, etc.
Yesh, i am a book worm and no this isn't an exhaustive list of books that i have my nose in from time to time. |

maybe reading books won't help, but reading this post might
i can't think of ANY instance in english where you have an "e" before a "ing" (correct me if i'm wrong... this is from my memory, which can't possibly know everything)... it also looks horrible.
the correct spelling is "shining"; you loose the e.
"hitchhiker" is one word... also, the ' means possession in english, so it would be "hitchhiker's"
it's spelled "The Cathedral and the Bazaar"
did i miss anything else?
(this is why i'm know as the Grammer Nazi, or the Syntax Avenger...) |
Yes I need capitals to start sentences.
As another point The Cathedral and the Bazaar says that hackers should spell correctly, as well as those posting messages to hackers should errmm spell correctly
Hopefully I have taken more care here (I can't see any spelling mistakes) _________________ glows in the dark |

I think this is the one. I'm readin it in Swedish...
I got the bock from one of my students, and It's very interesting. Just before this I read the Rama-series by Arthur C. Clarke. I'm also a big WoT-fan, in case you recognize my username _________________ 72 of Pitcairn Islands 49 inhabitants use Seti@Home

If what your reffering to is what I think, then it is Red Mars in english, with the other volumes being Green Mars, Blue Mars, and Martians. But if this isn't what your talking about I suggest you read it, the best Mars fiction out there. |
