|
|
Hi,
if i try to copy a cd/dvd (no matter if audio, video or data- medium) k3b never reconises any cd/dvd. For source medium it says: 'Please insert a non-empty medium'.The Device is well discoverd as a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-845S and i have no issues with other non-Kde apps to mount data media or playing video-DVD.
This happens with all available KDE-4 versions (1.69.0_alpha4 and 1.70.0_beta1) and they are all ~ppc masked for my arch but a ppc_developper encouraged me to ask about this.
Anyway there are no stable replacement for some important KDE-4 apps on PPC.
Thank's for any help
Andreas

i added myself to the cdrw group but it did not change anything. i thought cdrom and burning group was enough.
but now Code: | #>groups
wheel floppy audio cdrom video games cdrw usb users plugdev scanner canon burning |
K3b just recognize every cd-dvd as an empty medium.
As for the k3b-setup: this is not available for me
These are my useflags for k3b Code: | USE="dvd emovix encode ffmpeg flac lame mad musepack musicbrainz vcd vorbis wav (-aqua) -debug (-kdeenablefinal) -sndfile -sox -taglib" | cheers |

Try using `dvd+rw-mediainfo` to see if it can recognize your blank media, if it can't then it's probably not a k3b issue at all. _________________ "You have to invite me in" |

I dont want to be misunderstood - k3b detect's every cd/dvd as an empty media and therefore i can't copy anything.
Burning files on an empty cd/dvd works sometimes but sometimes k3b crashes and only cdrecord keeps on running in the background. |

I upgradet to k3b-1.90.0-rc1 and the problem seem to be solved with this version.
