|
|
I have been told there is a NZ mirror of Gentoo that I want to use for my installs (it'd be faster downloads, and no traffic charges).
How do I add the mirror into the install, in make.conf ?
The mirror is ftp://ftp.citylink.co.nz/pub/linux and has /gentoo and /gentoo-x86-portage sub-directories.
Just need to make sure I add them in correctly |

It depends on exactly how the mirror is set up (are they running rsync? for example): if you are having problems, try contacting the mirror admin for explicit instructions. For a start, I would try:
Code: | GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.citylink.co.nz/pub/linux/gentoo"
SYNC="rsync://ftp.citylink.co.nz/pub/linux/gentoo-x86-portage" |
