| You have encountered a bug in the ZFS code. Please ask the zfs authors to fix the code not to ignore the return value of write. When they provide a fix, the Gentoo maintainer for the zfs ebuild can incorporate the upstream patch into this version. |

| It seems this is already known, see bug 281350 which includes a temporary hack to build successfully. But not much sign of any other activity yet. |

I hope you meant this as a joke. Though a few "Me, too" indicators can be helpful to confirm that a bug is not a freak occurrence isolated to one user, developers generally do not react well to getting more such indicators after the first few have provided enough input to confirm widespread occurrence and provide information to debug the problem. As an aside, adding yourself to the CC list without commenting is a common and non-disruptive way to indicate your interest in a fix, without disrupting any potentially useful conversation in the bug. |
