app-office/libreoffice-3.3.0.4 released!
!! info about split build of boost !!
why do you want it over portage version?
· no gtk dep for kde-only
· jemalloc allocator
· more useflags
· ... whatever I forgot to mention
known issues
· module sdext/presenter fails; afterwards, run ebuild /path/to/ebuild install qmerge

hmm, I knew I would forget something!
this is known, and I have not had this problem with portage-2.2_rc51 today.
- grab ooo-build tarball manually with wget
- edit Manifest file; remove ooo-build-... line
- run 'ebuild /path/to/ebuild digest'
and you should be fine then.
edit #1 and 'app-office/openoffice-3.1.1.19_pre20090929' is the old one, huh?! _________________ LibreOffice|split-boost|trans-follow xcb port|instruction set analyzer

thanks for that - got the 3.2 file and emerged for about
50 minutes (which is almost done on my machine)
but then, sadly:

you can get the build log at
www.utsc.utoronto.ca/~seager/oobuildlog.tar.bz2
if you get a chance to look at it that would be great but
I know it's a lot to ask ... _________________ .... there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth

okay, Archive::Zip got pedantic.

yay, OOo 3.2 is freed from evil gtk+ depend!
USE="-gnome -gtk -nsplugin -gstreamer" will present you a glib, gdk and gtk+ free OOo.
for USE="nsplugin" I will ask the kde4 porter to check Firefox/Qt4 and OOo plugin code.
Maybe, I get his attention.
edit #1
ahem, I forgot about bug 289879.
time to add it to my overlay. _________________ LibreOffice|split-boost|trans-follow xcb port|instruction set analyzer

woohoo! melikes
emerging soon...
EDIT: As always, it wouldn't compile without moving into my overlay and modifying Manifest for ooo-build, but oh well... _________________ backend.cpp:92:2: warning: #warning TODO - this error message is about as useful as a cooling unit in the arctic |

albright & StringCheesian
no idea. what locales do you set? any temp directory cleaner as cronjob? I cannot reproduce this.
genstorm
I had this with <dev-perl/Archive-Zip-1.30, dev-perl/Archive-Zip-1.30 fixed that.
which version do you have installed? _________________ LibreOffice|split-boost|trans-follow xcb port|instruction set analyzer

~amd64
USE="bash-completion branding cups dbus gnome gstreamer gtk opengl pam" (all of the ebuild's other USE flags are off)
LINGUAS="en_US" (only that one)
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=k8-sse3 -pipe"
LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed"
MAKEOPTS="-j3"
I haven't installed any cronjobs, and I never mess with /var/tmp/portage when emerge is using it.
Are you using something like LDFLAGS="" MAKEOPTS="j1"? |

I still had Archive-Zip-1.28 installed. I'll try to resume the build when I'm back in Vienna today. _________________ backend.cpp:92:2: warning: #warning TODO - this error message is about as useful as a cooling unit in the arctic |

dev-perl/Archive-Zip upgrade and 'ebuild /path/to/ebuild install qmerge' should do, yes.
albright & StringCheesian
I updated the ebuild so that the '--with-lang' configure flag should not be added for en-US only builds. That should fix it.
___
I also added the MySQL section for ooo-build master.
So OOo has the native MySQL connector again.
app-office/openoffice-3.2.0.6_pre20091129 soon, untested.
release before testrun, feel free to be brave!
edit #1
en-US only built fine.
I hope my final cleanup still works.
=> overlay updated
though, native MySQL connector still missing, even with the cws applied.
edit #2
okay, found the problem wrt mysql. _________________ LibreOffice|split-boost|trans-follow xcb port|instruction set analyzer

OK - I did a forced manifest and lo and behold, it did
compile and seems to run fine, integrate with kde
very well ...
