Hi there,
Im new to Gentoo, and after installing a system that works quite well i was wondering:
Is it possible to install a working mailtoaster with emerge?
Qmail
Vpopmail
Courier-IMAP
Squirrelmail
If possible, could you point me the direction?
Is it just to do a:
emerge qmail
emerga ....
and then its working?

Largely. I'm pretty sure each of those programs you listed is in the Portage tree, so give it a whirl.

ok i tried.. But emerge qmail resulted in a conflict with another MTA -
1: how can i see more info about this conflict
2: Which MTA is defualt installed?

The actual error message is about all you're going to get.

Probably ssmtp.You should be able to unmerge ssmtp and then emerge qmail.
