What is the processor family for a qemu processor? Does it go by the processor on the host? I'm sure it differs per 32-bit guest or 64-bit guest too.

I know with the newer versions of GCC you can use marc=native which is cool. Too bad the kernel doesn't have that option.

Here is what /proc/cpuinfo says:
Quote:
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 2
model name : QEMU Virtual CPU version 0.10.50
stepping : 3
cpu MHz : 2333.274

bogomips : 4666.54
clflush size : 64
cache_alignment : 64
address sizes : 40 bits physical, 48 bits virtual
