I have a strange problem here. If I right click a rar file and ask to autoextract the files, ark hangs. If I try a zip file, it's fine. If I run ark from a terminal, upon trying to extract the rar file, the terminal appears to ask for a password. BTW, this is with any unprotected rar file, has nothing to do with protected rar files that require passwords.

| Are you using the proprietary unrar or the GPL version? The latter seems to do this a lot. |

That fixed it, I switched to the proprietary version.

Actually I had some similar problem recently with ark and rar.
Funny thing is ark-3.5.10 works but not ark-4.3.
ark-4.3 doesn't give the same options to rar/unrar. |
