Hi,

I have an Compaq Armada 4110 w/Pentium 133Mhz and 32MB ram.

My guess is that building Gentoo on this laptop would take for ever.
How can I build it with my faster desktop and then move it to the laptop for using it there?

I would also like to know if WindowMaker would work ok on this slow laptop.

Sincerely Eivinn - IT Student

Some people use the converters for the IDE drives to allow a laptop drive to be connected to a desktop machine. If you get one (try ebay) you could simply build everything right onto the laptop disk and then move it over physically to the laptop. There are, of course, ways that you can compile packages on a faster machine and then transfer them in binary form to your laptop, simply search the forums to find out how to do this.
