i enabled apm from kernel and emerged apmd but the shutdown thing didn't work just disables my poweroff button, and when i enabled acpi i get following error during boot:
hdbb C/H/S = 28751/16/255 from BIOS ignored. ok i tryed to switch lba mode my disk and it doesn't give error anymore but it hangs on the same position as the error was.
how can i resolv this?
i have MSI K7T-turbo2(amd tbird 1.2) |

Have you tried removing apm/acpi support from the kernel? I'm pretty sure you only want one compiled in at a time anyway. There's a thread (or 2 or 3...) that covers poweroff too. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
