There is no supported way to do what you want. Those applications are in portage, I believe. Is there something wrong with the portage packages? |

I found "app-crypt/mit-krb5" and "net-fs/openafs" but since they have quite different names I assumed they were different... |

That's because they're source packages. The packages you linked to were split pre-compiled packages. |

No need for that. The 'ar' utility that is already on his (and your) system can extract the various parts of .deb files. |

I've used app-arch/deb2targz utility to convert .deb files to .tar.gz archives and then manually unpack files where it needs. To uninstall - just remove by hands files of package. You should care of dependencies also. |
