My menu.lst

title=Gentoo
root (hd1,2)
kernel /boot/bzImage root=/dev/hdb3
title=Windows
root=(hd0,0)
chainloader +1
when i select windows in the meny the screen goes black for about 0.5 seconds and then kick s me back to the boot menu. I already tried reading the grub manual but didnt find a solution for my problem :/
I would really like get windows working because of the various games i play that dont really work with linux thank you in advance
Best Wishes

You have root=(hd0,0).
Remove the = and see if it works.

The GRUB manual suggests:
Code: | title=Windows
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
