|
|
This is the first time I've installed Gentoo (or really done anything with any distro of Linux, I was told that installing Gentoo from scratch would be a good learning experience.) and everything was going great until I tried to 'emerge rsync'. Not the usual problems, either.
It wasn't there. No such command.
This is especially odd, since I can see it in /usr/bin/
What should I do? |

All I can think of is that you may have accidentily skipped a step. Did you get any errors untarring? Did you use all the switches?
Emerge is found in /usr/bin. If you haven't done the chroot, it would be /mnt/gentoo/usr/bin. If your untar didn't work, it would be missing.
Other than that, I wouldn't know. _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy"
