I'd like to help also.
I'll open an account later today on the food forum to know what's going on.

I was going to register on the forums, but I pulled it up and it appeared to be nothing but spam.
There are some good phpbb mods to control and prevent such spam, ya' know.
I echo my earlier request (now buried on the previous page) that I would love to see someone with some JS skills tackle a small task and alter either the Lightbox 2 or Litbox script. _________________ Nihilism makes me smile. |

You can drag the "windows" around, have events, and do all kinds of nifty things with them.
However, with Lightbox 2 you can have a series of images (or objects in the Litbox world) and cycle through them with your keyboard or mouse.
If someone could add the prev-next feature from Lightbox 2 to Litbox, I'd be very happy indeed. I have several small websites I'm working on (despite being a crappy web designer, but people keep coming to me) and I'd like to replace all pop-up code with this.
If you also combined the nice transition/loading effect from Lightbox 2, I certainly wouldn't mind.
Thanks again! |
Actually I believe this has the functionality you're looking for...
Note that you can make multiple copies of a window or windows and move them about. Also has the transition effect -

Though if you really want to tweak about, mootools is powerful and lightweight _________________ Gentoo is the stick-shift of Linux.
You work it manually, it has somewhat better performance, but it's really for the fun of it. |

How can I help? _________________ Sadhu Sundar Singh - responding to Darwinian Evolution - "...but I am more interested in Divine Selection and survival of the unfit" |

| I can play your MIDI tracks through professional synthesizers (Korg MS200, EMU piano module, FluidSynth) and send you back a much better sounding MP3. |

porodzila gave me the idea to offer the same thing he's offering. I can help folks on these forums put their musical ideas into sound.
I also want to "officially support" Gentoo and am thus willing to offer up a subdomain of my web site for something related to supporting Gentoo. A blog, a howto, or something. No strings attached, no requirements for graphics or ads or anything. It would just be (pickaname).audiodef.com and I'll just be able to say "Hey, we support Gentoo Linux".
For either idea, just PM me. We'll just talk and see if it's feasible for both of us. You just have to have been around on these forums so we all know it's on the up-and-up. _________________ Gentoo Studio: http://gentoostudio.org

I can also offer hosting and shell accounts on my private server. Here's what I can give you:
-user account on an OpenBSD box;
-ssh access (bash, zsh, ksh);
-apache-1.3, php, mod_perl, mod_ruby;
-apache userdir (http://hajotus.net/~user), subdomain (http://user.hajotus.net) if needed;
-decent uptime (I won't throw in any figures, but I think it's safe to say it's up enough for personal use);
-no hard limit or quota on home dir size, but I'd appreciate if you could keep it under 5-10 GB
But here's the catch: For now it's only on a 8/1 Mbps connection. Also I don't have trusts on any big IRC networks, so a maximum of one connection per IRC network per user, please.
If you're interested, you can PM me here or email me at root@hajotus.net. _________________ "I'm sorry, I only accept criticism in the form of sed expressions." |

This offer still holds, but with some changed criteria:
Now on a 10/10 mbit/s dedicated line;
No more connections to QuakeNet or IRCnet available. Freenode and others still open, at least for the moment. _________________ "I'm sorry, I only accept criticism in the form of sed expressions." |
