Java Seg faults...

Ive installed the Blackdown jre and Sun jdk, and both went smoothly. But neither of them work under mozilla. So I checked about:plugins, and they are'nt listed. I ran them under the from a terminal, and they both give a seg fault. What gives? I never had any java problems before, then yesterday I was promted to download a jvm (which alerted me to the problem). Anyone have any experience with this?

Are you using GCC3? If so do a search on GCC3 and JAVA.
