!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete succsessfully

Hi,

I learned a lot from my first stage 1 install. Did emerge emacs and fluxbox before realizing I had to configure X. I tried but failed, so I installed Mandrake again and saved the Mandrake /etc/X11/XF86Config on a floppy to copy it into Gentoo later.

Now in my second try install Gentoo from scrach, everything worked fine until "12.Progressing from stage2 to stage3" in the online manual. The #emerge system started fine but now it has terminated with the message:

!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete succsessfully
!!! Function src_compile, Line 4, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)

!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/sys-apps/raidtools/raidtools-0.90-r2.ebuild.

I think I did everything right up to this point, but I hope I did something wrong.

Any ideas?
