subject says it all... libperl is exiting on error code 2 when i try to emerge system
tried every version in portage, no luck

-output of emerge info
-contents of failure (as many lines around the error you can provide) |

This error is usually indicative of a GCC bug, or flaky hardware. You may want to try slightly less aggressive compiler flags (try dropping the "-mcpu=ultrasparc" or using "-O2" or lower instead of "-O3"). |

Also this can becaused by not enough usable memory between ram and swap. How much of each do you have? |
