How about some sort of perl script in the web page that forces a user to search before he posts a question. _________________ What boots up must come down. |

You mean so you would have found the thread that suggested this already? _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

Very amusing..
I actually don't know if I like this idea. The search utility for phpBB isn't nearly the best. For example, I'm actually unable to find the thread you mentioned. In fact, when I do a standard search for "Forced Searching" it returns this thread as the 13th one on the list. Give me a break. I suppose with close to 10,000 topics to search 13th place isn't all that unlivable, but it's certainly not friendly. _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..

You won't hear me say search doesn't need improving. Here was my suggestion. Though not exact, the same idea. I seem to recall others, I'm just not interested enough to search for them _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
