Is it safe to get rid of xterm once you have another capable term installed such as aterm  since aterm basically emulates all the features of xterm is having xterm still necessary? does aterm depend on it? thanks.

There's no good reason for me to do this, but I was just curious as to whether or not it was possible. There's no real reason to have two funtionally identical terms and aterm has some nice features asthetically. Thanks for the input
