hi @all,
the installation went very well - but my serial mouse is not working.
the first time i compiled serial support into the kernel, the second time i'm creating a module.
modprobing it is ok, no errors.
trying gpm shows:
oops(): [/var/tmp/portage/gpm-1.20.0-r3/work/gpm/1-20.0/src/gpm.c/952)]:
Since gpm-1.20.0 you need to specify themouse device. gpm -m device is your friend
but what device should i tell gpm ? i haven't found any active serial device in /dev ?
thanks for your help,

/dev/ttyS0 (most probably) or /dev/ttyS1. |

/dev/ttyS0 points to /dev/tts/0 and that's not active. i've figured out that /dev/cua0 works for me now, but i'm curious why it doesn't work like expected...
thanks,
