Arkhart is a 3D fantasy game. I haven't played it yet, but the screenshots looks great and the music is fantastic! You can download the ebuild here |

extract the ebuild in your local portage dir under app-games, and emerge it.
Or, go to the game's download page, everything is explained. |

wow. the only way i succeeded was using /usr/portage and
manually putting the files in /usr/portage/app-games.
thank you for pointing me in the right direction. |

khm... does THIS ebuild work now? ...the previous one segfaulted using the main menu (so you didn't even come to the game part).
and if it does, why isn't it in portage yet?! _________________ tea+free software+law=hook

thanks to the updated CVS, the mouse issues have been resolved and now the game is play able just as well as it was in windows, thanks to winex.
the game is a war sim (you can drive tanks, trucks, ships, boats, planes, bombers, be infantry or all sorts, play an anti tank gun or an anti aircraft gun...) you can play as a frenchman, a briton, or a german. the year is 1940 and you have to see if you can change the course of history! check it out.
http://www.wwiionline.com
the project homepage is here http://sourceforge.net/projects/wwiiolinux/
this is a MMOPG, first month is free and there is a 7 day free trial out right now.
screens and all that are on the official home page. here are some i took when i first got the game working.
http://www.veruca.org/linux/
here is the how to on getting it working
http://www.veruca.org/HT01.txt
*note* still working on getting game devices working (ie, joystick... shuoldn't be hard). but for now you can keymap around it with the ingame keymapper. just map everything to your mouse that needs a joystick. _________________ i am veruca, yes i am. |

Hola all!
Linuxgames.com wrote about this old Amiga soccer-game that is now released under the GPL:
http://etw.sourceforge.net
Looks fun Maybe we'll see an ebuild for this soon? _________________ --- checking for native Win32 platform... no |

and squeek also looks promising ...it's a platform game ...supposed to have some RPG elements and the graphics just remind me of good old gaming times _________________ tea+free software+law=hook

If their giving squeek away free, and it's not exactly the most innovative concept that should be a trade secret... Why isn't the source code available? That just bothers me a bit.
EDIT: Just looked again and the source code will be released to squeek, the author just wants to clean it up before publicly releasing it.
Anyway, I'm working on a game, thought this would be a place to announce it. Block Drop Attack, it is another Tetris-Attack/Panel de Pon clone designed to have more of the gameplay of the original and be faster than Crack-Attack. I have no 3d graphics card, and Tetris-Attack games shouldn't really need one. I also miss puzzle mode and would like support for 4 or 8 players in multiplayer. So yeah, speed and things like puzzle mode will be the difference between Block Drop Attack and Crack-Attack. I'm not trying to say crack-attack is bad... it's really good but I need something that uses less resources and thought other people would like it too.
Here's some screenshots of an early version hosted in my closet,
http://www.spicious.com/~chizu/blockdropattack/
Please don't post this link anywhere, other than here (/me hopes spiders.txt keeps google away)... My bandwidth can't take much.
Themes are supported so these graphics are not necisarly what it will look like, I just made these to develop with.[/url] |

Adellion is/will be a role play focused MMORPG. it's aimed to be a very "realistic medieval fantasy simulation" with no magic. it features perma-death and a learning by doing skill-system. it's based on the torque engine, that was written for tribes 2 and there will be a client for linux (why else would i post it here ).
the team is currently working hard to get a beta-test version ready. you can still send in your NDAs to get in. but beware: it's really all about role playing. _________________ If you fall off a cliff, you might as well try to fly. After all, you got nothing to lose.
