Have somebody created an gentoo HFS type ISO file with a XCOFF
bootable install program?
I want to install Linux on an old PowerMac 7600 from OpenFirmware with
a serial port console only. All distributions seem to assume that one
has Mac OS running or at least a keyboard/mouse with a local monitor.
The PowerMac makes great servers since they have a OpenFirmware and
serial console support (similar to SUN's etc.)
I have tried yellow dog 3.0 sirius 20030530, debian 30r0
powerpc, gentoo ppc 14rc, and Mandrake 9.1 with no luck.
NetBSD install works, but I would like to run Linux in order to run
Open MCL (Macintosh Common Lisp). |
