My laptop is set for PDT and says it's 02:54 (I know, go to bed). It is set every 90 seconds from a second-level NTP server (uiuc). Right now, GMT is 09:54. You can see the timestamp for this post. You know what your profiles are set to. Does it make sense to you? It looks like the posting time is 30 mintes behind.

Are your servers in Arizona? Isn't it true that AZ does not recognize Daylight Savings Time? Should that matter?

Anyway, something is hosed, my guess is that the server time is set wrong...

I can only hazard a guess based on Nitro's profile, but -6 Wisconsin is said guess. AZ does not honor DST, so they are in MST now and should be in the same effective timezone as your laptop. None of that should matter, as long as the system clock and the CLOCK setting in /etc/rc.conf agree on matters. I would not be surprised if the forums server had clock drift problems, judging from the sheer volume of posts on that subject. Local clocks currently read 22:00 JST here (UTC+9), so let's see what happens.

The server itself is housed in NY, but you can set the timezone to be whatever you want it to be -- just go into your profile and change it there.

That said, we were having lots of issues with ntpd and keeping our clock sync'd, so what you were seeing was a symptom of that problem. Should be fixed now.

Just one more growing pain that we're going through right now. :)

Sounds good. Like my profile says, I'm bicoastal, so I never know what the hell time it is either! lol!

Looks like the clock is off by about 20 minutes again. Or has it been like this since August 2002?
