Hi there.
I want to use snort ( if Im able to get it running ) and use MYSQL for snort logging.
I ran the default installation (emerge snort) and there is no create_mysql script to create the database.
Did i forget to install any further packages?
Please help me out of this. Thanks!
Regards,

I guess you enabled the mysql USE flag for snort? Maybe it is a package that can be configured post-install by using emerge --config? |

I just installed snort. The ebuild text is wrong, it's a bz2 file, not a gz.
Code: | $ equery files snort | grep create
/usr/share/doc/snort-2.6.1.3-r1/schemas/create_db2.bz2
/usr/share/doc/snort-2.6.1.3-r1/schemas/create_mssql.bz2
/usr/share/doc/snort-2.6.1.3-r1/schemas/create_mysql.bz2
/usr/share/doc/snort-2.6.1.3-r1/schemas/create_oracle.sql.bz2
/usr/share/doc/snort-2.6.1.3-r1/schemas/create_postgresql.bz2
