kernel 2.6.25 dislikes fish://... protocol

Anybody else experiences problems with this kernel and accessing remote directories with konqueror ? I often get a timeout or "protocol died unexpectedly" - furthermore my login was locked sometimes too. 2.6.24-gentoo-r8 however works fine. Reading https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145123 and https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=177035 doesn't helped mw.
