Hello guys ...

I am looking for a Bandwidth Statistics Application that sits kind of in the middle of something like:

Code:
*  net-analyzer/vnstat
      Latest version available: 1.6
      Homepage:      http://humdi.net/vnstat/
      Description:   Console-based network traffic monitor that keeps statistics of network usage
      License:       GPL-2

*  net-analyzer/nethogs
      Latest version available: 0.6.0
      Homepage:      http://nethogs.sf.net/
      Description:   A small 'net top' tool, grouping bandwidth by process
      License:       GPL-1

I use these 2 applications and they are great.
vnstat also a php frontend @ http://www.sqweek.com/sqweek/index.php?p=1

But what i am looking for now is something that combines vnstat and nethogs ( http://nethogs.sourceforge.net/nethogs.png ) and provides bandwidth stats per application and makes a database like vnstat.

Basicly i would like to know how much apps like opera, firefox, xchat, *msn, and others use per day/month/week/ and so on.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in adavance :)

I find these; to be closer to the detailed infromation needed:

Code:
* net-analyzer/jnettop
     Available versions:  0.13.0-r1 {berkdb ncurses syslog}
     Homepage:            http://jnettop.kubs.info/
     Description:         A top like console network traffic visualiser

* net-analyzer/nettop
     Available versions:  0.2.3-r2{tbz2}
     Homepage:            http://srparish.net/software/
     Description:         top like program for network activity

The only feature missing the creating a database of totals like vnstat does.

I even asked a buddhist monk in the Himalayas, but he told me to search in my inner self ...
