after checking /usr/lib/gcc i saw that there is no i486-pc-linux-gnu dirctory, only a i686-pc-linux-gnu directory. i think this i because i changed the chost entry. is there a way i can fix this?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thx in advance

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Portage & Programming.

your chost has changed, so g++ can't be found anymore. you need to rebuilt your toolchain
