Missing /etc/make.conf.build

Hello all. I recently overwrote my /etc/make.conf.build file.

I tried to update portage, so I did

If I did emerge portage again, would that replace my /etc/make.conf and /etc/make.conf.build?

You don't really need the make.conf.build file. It is created during the bootstrap process.

when using a new distro I often get panicky and think "of fuck, it's broken", when usually it's not.
