GDM: system gone

I've managed to let the " system" option in gdm dissapear. So now when I want to shutdown, I have to log out first, then login as root and the choose shutdown.
very inconvenient.

How can I fix this?

login as root, use gdmconfig and re-enable the system menu on the main gdm login screen. I beleive it's under the security tab on the config menu.
