Hi,
I'm trying to copy files to my iRiver in alphabetical order since the stupid player doesn't sort the songs after filename but after creation time.
This is what I've tried so far:

mount /mnt/mp3/
find %t | cpio -vp %D
umount /mnt/mp3/
|
Where %t are selected files, %D is destination. (I use MC)
However when I copy, the files are *still* copied randomly "sometimes"..
For example, look at the below:

An entire album gets copied correctly - and then suddenly it copies 203-The_Rising.mp3 before 101-Contemplation.mp3... etc.
Is there a way to make all tagged files copied in alphabetical order to my mp3 player?

Yes, it does. Why?
I also tried to touch the files on the mp3 player, by entering each directory on it and doing
ls * | touch *
I've read somewhere that it works.. But it didn't. Time-stamps changed in MC, but order didn't change on the mp3-player... |

Hm, could it have something to do with syncing?
For example, does it make a difference if I let the transfer complete in its own time - rather than make an "umount /mnt/mp3/"? |

Okay, WTF.
Find doesn't sort on my computer.
Instead, I now do:
find %t | sort | cpio -vp %D
And it works.
